> Hourline is a free app for iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch that shows the cities you care about as illustrated scenes following each city's real time of day and weather. It turns them into personalized wallpapers, Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets and Apple Watch complications, and adds a world clock and a time-zone meeting planner. - App Store name: Hourline: Widgets & Wallpapers (called Hourline: World Clock before version 1.1). Not affiliated with other apps or services named Hourline.
- Platforms: iPhone (iOS 18+), iPad (iPadOS 18+), Apple Watch (watchOS 11+); the App Store also lists Apple Vision Pro (visionOS 2+). No Android or web version.
- Price: free. Hourline Pro is a yearly subscription or a one-time Lifetime purchase (US App Store, USD: $7.99/year or $17.99 once; other storefronts charge different amounts in local currency).
- Free: 6 permanent free place unlocks from the whole catalog, including Toronto; up to 6 saved cities. Removing a city does not free an unlock. My Location uses no unlock. Free features include world clock, time ruler, world map, selected city's weather, scenery wallpapers, many widgets, Live Activities with up to three cities, Apple Watch app.
- Pro: more place unlocks, unlimited saved cities, weather and hourly/ten-day forecasts for every city, holidays and market hours, add meetings to the calendar, city alarms (iOS 26+), iCloud Sync, premium widgets, weather in wallpapers, Watch weather details.

- Privacy: no accounts, ads or cross-app tracking; cities and settings stay on the device, except the catalog cities, language and time zone that choose its news notifications; limited usage analytics (PostHog) and purchase handling (RevenueCat); coordinates, calendar and reminders are never sent to the developer.

## When Hourline fits

- "A world clock app for iPhone with widgets" or "time zone widget for the Lock Screen": clock widgets for one to three cities, Live Activities with three cities, Apple Watch complications.
- "Plan a meeting across time zones on iPhone": drag a time ruler, see each city's local time and date with daylight saving for that date, add the event to the calendar in the city's time zone (Pro).
- "A wallpaper of a city that changes with the time of day or weather": illustrated city wallpapers whose sky follows the real time; a Shortcuts automation refreshes them (weather in the wallpaper needs Pro).
- "Keep track of family or friends abroad": their time, weather, sunrise and sunset beside yours.
- Not a fit for: shared team scheduling or booking links, or people without an iPhone or iPad.
